What I Use When I Go Carp Fishing

by editor on Jun.25, 2009, under News

Carp fishing whenever I go it generally costs a lot of money to purchase the permit to grant me to fish at one of the better carp ponds. It is understandable really as several of these fish cost upwards of a few hundred pounds to stock in the first place.
Hence if and when I do manage to get a take I want to feel assured that the fishing gear I am employing is up to the business of landing one of these powerful underwater missiles. I do not want to be leaving thinking if only I had!

So I use a Ron Thompson carp rod it has everything I am looking for in a light yet robust carp rod. Never let me down yet and developed to last .If you go down the route of purchasing the cheapest you can you will only end up watching it bust under pressure and plausibly when you have a monster on. Besides with the cheaper rods they do lean to be a lot heavier and at first this might not be too much to think about but as the day wears on your arms will begin to discover it.

I will twin that with a Wychwood Carp Reel can not be beat in my view. Wonderful gearing and a really smooth action when you want to really crank up the pressure as the carp is heading for snags this is the one for you it truly does come into its own.

With the right reel line and specific sharp hooks all my tackle is flawless for the job at hand .So basically it is down to me no apologises if the fish gets off it is my fault no one else’s.I tend to buy nearly all of my fishing tackle here at the Total Fishing Gear Site as I have found the costs to be one of the cheapest around and with free next day delivery
