Are your childrens bunk beds safe for your kids?

by editor on Dec.30, 2009, under News

Most parents consider utilising bunk beds for their kids to alleviate a deficiency of space or due to the request of the kid. The one up one down method of bunk bed even though somewhat an exciting adventure for small infants can be very unsafe; almost 85% of bed incidents are sustained from bunk beds. There are many dangers guardians need to be conscious of when investing in a children’s bunk bed.

Even though a fall alone could seriously hurt a child, furnishings surrounding the bunk bed may well present a further hazard. Objects such as blind cords are extremely hazardous; they could simply become wrapped around a kid’s head and many deaths have happened because of the child’s robe cord getting tied around the throat during the fall. These cases are quite rare but they do ask the question of how out of harm’s way our children are in bunk beds. However, children’s bunk beds are an excellent approach of construing a little accountability on your kid and as stated previously they are a fantastic space saving tool, so they shouldn’t be dismissed completely.

Metal bunk beds are less dangerous now than ever. Superior materials, enhanced build, and improved design have all factored into a considerably less hazardous bunk bed than more than a decade before. Most bed bunk accidents are a consequence of child’s play, in fact, most injuries are as a result of teenagers playing around on the beds, in particular college dorm attics and metal bunk beds. As long as safe behaviour are observed, your kid should be alright. Show them to under no circumstances jump on the top bunk and how to use the ladder correctly.
