It’s well known that excessive weight is very bad for health. To live healthy is to maintain an ideal weight. To maintain weight, you’ll have to burn all the calories from your intake. To burn these calories, exercise is the best healthiest way. Regular exercise cannot only burn your calories but also helps to tone your muscles. Exercise helps you, to sweat which expels a lot of toxins from your body through the sweat. Sweating takes some load off your kidneys also. Exercise also helps in keeping your heart healthy, veins and arteries from getting clogged with cholesterol and other dangerous fats. There are also some great fitness programs online to help.

Loosing excess weight through exercise can be beneficial in many ways. Besides the benefits mentioned earlier, exercise is almost a panacea. It helps maintaining good health, ideal weight, muscle and skin tone, bone density, mobility of the joints and strengthens the immune system. It is a good stress buster also.

Some categories of exercises are:
Aerobic Exercise.  Exercises performed at moderate levels of intensity like walking, jogging, medium pace running, sports like tennis or badminton or other sports which involves near continuous motion are considered aerobic. Aerobics are performed to increase the consumption of oxygen by the body and speed the metabolic process. The benefits of aerobic exercises are that it strengthens muscles including the heart, improves blood circulation which helps in absorbing oxygen and helps mental health by reducing stress and incidence of depression.

Anaerobic exercise: Intense exercises performed by athletes and sportsmen involve extreme exertion of the body and mind. Anaerobic exercises are performed to build up muscle mass like in bodybuilding, speed and power for sprinters etc. It is essentially used as a performance enhancing activity. Marathon runners, circus artists etc. are examples of people who use this form of exercise.

Strength training: This form of exercise is used as endurance training. Prime examples of people who use this form of exercise are the actors in World Wrestling Federation show. The gadgets for pulling, pushing and lifting weights seen in Gymnasiums and fitness centers are used for strength training. Body builders, professional wrestlers, Hockey, football, track and field sports persons use this form of training.

Describing these categories of exercises is for the edification of the reader. To loose weight you need not indulge in any intense activity. The key is to burn more calories than the intake. Do not try to loose weight by reducing your intake. Body needs its nutrition. Starving it will lead to unending complications. Starving or staying of particular kind of t will have effect on your mental health also. Our body is renewed every day cell by cell. To maintain that you need food. A balanced diet with all the ingredients like vegetables, fish, meat and fruits will help you with nutrition.

Exercise, as you have seen, is a must for healthy living. Increasing the intensity to loose excess weight will be advantageous in all manners. It may be a pain in the neck to stick to a regimen. But, sticking to that regimen will get you where you want to be – health and weight wise.
