Enhance Your Training Regimen with 4 Muscle Building Secrets

The fact of the matter is there are no real muscle building secrets at all, there are just some workouts that are more effective than others. You need to realize that building muscle can be accomplished in a variety of ways, but the ones that I will share with you, are methods that I have mastered, that will allow you to gain muscle when you choose.

Muscle Building Secret #1: Fatigue the Muscle With High Reps and High Volume

The reason I think this could be considered a secret is the amount of guys I see who get this wrong. If you want to see some quick muscle gains then lifting low reps is no good for you. Sure doing high weight low rep training can be helpful when you want to gain muscle, but only when it is incorporated into a workout where you are already doing high rep and high volume training. Your goal needs to be 6 – 15 reps in each set to gain muscle in a timely manner.

2) Low Rest Time

You are working toward fatiguing the muscles with 6 – 15 reps, when your training is geared toward gaining muscle. If you rest a long period of time in between each set, you will be able to lift more weight but you won’t fatigue the muscle as much. When you are serious about putting on muscle mass, every set should feel a lot harder than the first. You will be headed in the right direction, if you are starting to experience weakness when you get to the last set of each exercise.

Muscle Building Secret 3: Avoid Breaks Between Reps

Fatigue is the key to muscle mass. Even the smallest of rests between reps lessens how fatigued you are making your muscles. Resting between reps allows you to lift slightly heavier weights, which is good for increasing your strength but not your muscle.

4) Training Over Diet

Individuals can be consuming an insufficient amount of calories and still build muscle, according to a number of studies. Building muscle can be accomplished through overeating. You should be following a diet designed for losing body fat, when you are working on a muscle building regimen. You can ensure that your muscles have what they need to grow, by concentrating your training on optimal fatigue and high volume. Muscle get bigger due to the stimulus you provide them. You want to be sure that your food intake is adequate for normal operation, but do not take in excessive amounts of calories.
